As part of London Gallery Weekend, Michael Werner Gallery, London is pleased to invite you to an exhibition walkthrough of Raphaela Simon's, 'Phantom' with Melanie Pocock, Curator and Artistic Director of Exhibitions, Ikon Gallery, Birmingham on Friday 01, June. 

The exhibition will present recent works. Regarding her working process, Simon has said, “No image exists at the beginning. In my view, a painting does not start with a specific object, idea, form, content, memory, or imagination. Sometimes I work closer to the ‘form’, sometimes I work closer to the ‘content’. It is the state of tension between all these things that interests me.”
